TIYA is a modern Indian restaurant located in San Francisco’s Marina District, serving progressive Indian cuisine through a hybrid model of à la carte dining and tasting menus. We are looking for an experienced Cocktail Bartender / Mixologist to join our small, collaborative team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about cocktails, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in classic cocktails while also being interested in modern techniques, creative ingredients, and continuing to refine their beverage knowledge.
Schedule
3–4 shifts per week
Primarily Wednesday through Saturday
Approximately 30–35 hours per week
TIYA is open seven days a week for dinner service
Requirements
Previous bartending experience in a chef-driven, Michelin-recognized, or comparable high-end restaurant or cocktail program
Experience working in a tasting-menu environment is a plus
Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, ingredients, techniques, and beverage service
Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails and the ability to execute them consistently
Wine knowledge and familiarity with wine service
Ability to develop, execute, and consistently reproduce original cocktails
Familiarity with Indian cuisine, spices, and ingredients is a plus, but not required
Strong attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and mise en place
Genuine interest in hospitality and creating an elevated guest experience
Willingness to learn and continuously develop cocktail, wine, spirits, and food knowledge
Experience operating POS systems; experience with Toast is a plus
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must possess a valid Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
Must be able to lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally
