As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Normal IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic automotive location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role combines customer service communication and keen awareness while supporting daily operations. What Youll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees visitors and contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related concerns in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local contacts as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including production areas parking areas exterior perimeters and other assigned spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity at designated access points and verify credentials visitor information and/or delivery details in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document daily activities patrol findings and incident details in written reports and report maintenance issues hazards and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
