Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in the Receiving & Shipping department. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, at our Wichita, KS location. As a part of the Plant family, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and distributing metal while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety.

• Move inventory and equipment to designated locations for storage or processing.
• Pull and assemble orders based on work/shipping orders or documentation.
• Coordinate and execute material handling tasks.
• Perform quality control inspections and sort/package parts as directed.
• Tag materials for identification and complete required documentation.
• Operate yard trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes for loading and unloading trailers.
• Conduct spot checks on inventory and complete daily checks for material tagging.
• Report irregularities to the supervisor and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

• Valid Driver’s License.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Manual dexterity and multilimbed coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to withstand temperatures over 100°F and below 32°F.
• Proficiency in operating motorized material handling equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in warehousing and material handling preferred.
• Experience with forklift operations and overhead crane usage is a plus.

The work environment is in a production/manufacturing setting, requiring the use of specialized equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. Employees must adhere to a safety-first approach and may be exposed to varying temperatures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wichita,KS.
