Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through Tekberry)
Assignment Duration: 6 Months (extension possible)
Schedule: Monday Friday, currently 7am-3:30pm

Tekberry is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support EV battery recycling operations with our client, a leader in the automotive and mobility services industry.

Job Summary: This position will work safely to move product throughout the warehouse where the individual is located.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), conducting pre-operational equipment checks, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
• Ensure that products are handled and stored in a manner that preserves their quality and prevents damage.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, Supervisors, and logistics teams to coordinate the movement of materials and meet operational goals.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Utilizes light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift experience required.
• Valid forklift certification, preferred.
• The ability to pass a background check and clear results
• The ability to maintain a drug-free environment as this is a safety sensitive position.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This is a physical position and requires frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds or more while utilizing team lifting or equipment. This position works in a warehouse environment and may be subject to loud noises, weather elements such as extreme heat or cold, dust particles and moving equipment at all times.
