responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Innovation: Drive the design, planning, and development of next-generation new products and strategic line extensions from concept to commercialization.
  • Optimize Existing Portfolio: Identify opportunities for product improvements, cost savings, and quality enhancements to keep our current offerings competitive.
  • Execute Technical Validation: Plan and oversee robust validation protocols, shelf-life testing, and pilot plant trials to ensure product scalability and safety.
  • Provide Expert Technical Services: Serve as a subject matter expert, offering troubleshooting support and technical guidance to cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners.
  • Manage Projects Autonomously: Drive multiple R&D timelines simultaneously under limited supervision, ensuring deliverables meet regulatory compliance and product offering requirements.
This position is based out of our collaborative, state-of-the-art R&D lab in Pecatonica, IL, with additional connection to our secondary location in Oak Brook, IL. You will enjoy the independence of working under limited supervision, allowing you the freedom to own your projects from concept to commercialization while providing critical technical services. qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 year of laboratory experience in a food manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with powered beverages
  • Proven experience in auditing quality systems and manufacturing practices, ensuring consistent adherence to documentation requirements that meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Cross collaboration, internal RDI and Commercial expereince is a must
  • Strong understanding of ingredient interactions and functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Solid project management skills with demonstrated experience in leading and executing projects.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
