Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a Database Manager to join our TekSynap Defense team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in database management including experience with DBMS internals and application design.
• Must be capable of providing high technical expertise and support for DBMS.
• Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products supporting user requirements.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies customers or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC) Department of Defense (DoD) Federal Civil agencies and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment requirements and operational landscape is highly desirable.

Certifications

• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  Examples include but are not limited to:
  • MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development
  • MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration

Clearance

• Secret

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the effective use of database management systems (DBMS).

• Perform system analysis and programming utilizing modern DBMS technologies.

• Design and deploy database applications incorporating efficient file structures indexing strategies and security measures tailored to user requirements.

• Assess and recommend DBMS solutions based on validated business and user needs.

• Develop implement and manage database backup and recovery processes to maintain integrity security and availability.

• Ensure strong data management practices are upheld to support and sustain the operational environment.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $95000 - $150000 . The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors including the individuals combination of education knowledge skills competencies and experience as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees.
