Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Reverse ETL / CDP Consultant with deep expertise in customer data activation, audience modeling, and retail marketing data ecosystems. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between data engineering and marketing operations by translating business and customer engagement objectives into scalable data models and activation workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong Snowflake and SQL expertise, hands-on experience with Reverse ETL platforms such as Hightouch, Census, or RudderStack, and a solid understanding of customer 360, segmentation, identity resolution, and omnichannel retail analytics. This is a highly collaborative role requiring close partnership with marketing, product, analytics, and engineering teams while supporting teams operating in US PST time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable Reverse ETL and customer activation workflows using platforms such as Hightouch,
Census, or RudderStack.
Build and optimize customer 360 data models, audience segmentation frameworks, and identity resolution
processes.
Develop scalable data solutions leveraging Snowflake and cloud-based architectures.
Translate marketing and customer engagement requirements into actionable data products and activation strategies.
Integrate customer and transactional data across CRM, POS, eCommerce, loyalty, marketing automation, and
third-party platforms.
Enable audience activation and journey orchestration across marketing and customer engagement channels.
Collaborate closely with product, marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to support personalization and
campaign use cases.
Ensure data quality, governance, compliance, and consistency across activation pipelines and customer datasets.
Optimize SQL transformations, orchestration workflows, and performance of data pipelines.
Provide technical leadership, best practices, and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
Work effectively in a remote environment aligned with US PST business hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10 15 years of experience in Data Engineering, CDP, Reverse ETL, or Customer Data Activation roles.
Strong domain expertise in Retail and Consumer business environments.
Hands-on experience with Reverse ETL / activation platforms such as Hightouch, Census, or RudderStack.
Strong Snowflake and advanced SQL expertise.
Experience designing customer 360 solutions, audience segmentation, and identity resolution frameworks.
Strong understanding of omnichannel customer journeys, personalization, and marketing activation workflows.
Experience integrating data across marketing, CRM, loyalty, eCommerce, and customer engagement platforms.
Strong understanding of modern cloud-based data architectures and pipeline orchestration.
Ability to partner with business and product stakeholders to translate marketing intent into scalable data models and
activation logic.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to operate independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and marketing technology ecosystems.
Exposure to Azure cloud technologies and modern data stack tools.
Familiarity with retail KPIs, customer lifecycle analytics, and campaign performance measurement.
Prior experience supporting personalization, retention, and customer engagement initiatives.
