Job Description:
Create compelling social media content by translating copy and business stories into strong visual concepts, selecting or creating the right imagery, and bringing ideas to life across social platforms.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop visual concepts for social media content based on copy, messaging, and campaign objectives.
• Identify and select strong imagery that effectively communicates the story or message.
• Art direct static social posts, graphics, reels, animation, and other visual content.
• Create and develop AI-generated imagery and provide clear creative direction for desired visuals.
• Develop multiple creative options and iterate based on client feedback.
• Create content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook across both paid and organic social.
• Stay current on social media trends and translate relevant trends into creative concepts.
• Partner closely with copywriters and creative team members to develop cohesive social content.
• Present visual concepts and creative options to internal teams and clients.
• Work through multiple rounds of feedback while maintaining strong creative judgment.
• Help bring complex products, ideas, and stories to life through compelling visual storytelling.

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:
  • 4–6 years of experience in content creation, art direction, graphic design, or a related creative role.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating content specifically for social media.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn, with some Facebook experience.
  • Ability to look at copy or a story and determine the appropriate visual concept to communicate it.
  • Experience selecting and directing imagery for social content.
  • Ability to develop multiple creative concepts and iterate based on feedback.
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and visual content styles.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with copywriters and creative teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain creative concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients who provide significant feedback and direction.
  • Strong creative judgment and attention to detail.
• Nice-to-Haves:
  • Agency experience.
  • Experience creating AI-generated imagery or directing AI image creation.
  • Experience with reels, animation, and short-form video.
  • Experience creating paid and organic social content.
  • Experience working with construction, utility, manufacturing, or other blue-collar audiences.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Claude or other AI creative platforms.
